Soap and Towel Scrimmage
Tuesday night, the CCISD Board of Trustees approved a policy regarding cell phones and other personal communication devices, in alignment with House Bill 1481. We are encouraging students to put their devices "Away for the Day," to focus on learning.
LDVB started the season with a program sweep of both Thorndale and Brentwood Christian today. Freshman Eve Laufou led her team with 15 aces, while Lily Lynn had 11 for the JV team. Charlie Barrera led the JV team with 10 kills. The Varsity Lady Dawgs were led by Kaitlyn Urquidez with 24 kills and 12 aces. Taylor Wright held things down on the defensive end with 27 digs.
Bulldawg wrestlers were at Ogletree Gap today handing out over 200 backpacks for Nonpareil's fourth annual back to school bash.

CCJHS Football Meeting
LDVB saw their first action of the season with a scrimmage today at Bulldawg Gymnasium. They will be back in action tomorrow morning at 9:00am. Hope to see you there.
Bulldawg Tennis finished off a great first week with a win over Pflugerville Connally 15-4. The girls swept the board 9-0 with the boys controlling #2 doubles, and #s 1, 3, 5, and 6 singles. Charles Farran was the first win for the Bulldawgs with a strong 8-2 win, followed by Moore/Norton in #2 boy's doubles. Freshmen Ava Kennedy, Claire Bass, and Estrella Gonzalez showed that they can play with the Big Dawgs again this match.

Copperas Cove Bulldawg Tennis gained their first win of the season over Waco University August 4th. The Dawgs dominated doubles with a 5-1 lead and swept Boy’s Singles for the win. Senior Captains Hunter Martin and Georgia Montgomery led the pack with Freshmen Ava Kennedy, Estrella Gonzalez, and Claire Bass picking up the first wins of their High School career.
